Casual Matchmaking Test - Feedback Thread

Hey all!

Casual Matchmaking Test Times:

NOTE:

You may need to restart your client to have access to the ‘Casual Match’ option in the menu. Or you can try going to another screen and returning back to the home screen.

With every new Casual Matchmaking test there are often a number of unforeseen issues that sneak in. To collate these as efficiently as possible, we’re creating a single Feedback Megathread so you can let us know what issues you run into. This way, you’ll have a much greater chance of having them seen by our QA team than by creating a new thread (we only have so much time for bug-thread hunting!)

We want both GENERAL FEEDBACK and BUG REPORTS! For general feedback, just let us know your thoughts. For bug reports however, please read below:

Before you make a bug-post please do a quick check to see if anyone else has reported the issue you have experienced. If so, simply like their comment and we’ll know the severity of issues.


Format bug reports: When putting a bug into the comments below make sure that you give us as much information as you can. If you can remember any of the events leading up to the issue it can help us find the cause quicker.

  • [li]Type of Bug: Eg. Gameplay bug, HUD and in game UI, Frontend UI etc. [/li][li]Description: Describe what the bug is and what happened in the moments leading up to and after the incident. [/li][li]Video / Screenshot: If you can grab a screenshot (which you can do through steam) or a video recording of the issue it would be useful for us. [/li][li]Steps to reproduce: List the steps that lead up to the bug. Try not to leave any information out, every step can be useful! [/li][li]Result: What happened after you experienced the bug. [/li][li]Expected result: What you believe should have happened if there was no bug. [/li][li]Reproduction rate: How many times out of 10 have you experienced this issue? (1/10 - 10/10)

Performance/Graphical Issues: If you are experiencing either performance or graphical related issues, please also add your System Specification to your bug report including: Processor, Graphics Card, RAM, HDD/SSD, Motherboard, Sound Card and even drivers etc.

We’ll be going through each and every comment which is posted. If you don’t get a reply, don’t worry. Just rest assured knowing we have made note of your issue and it will be addressed when possible.

Feedback:

#1 Thing I do not like is that it sets the Region to Euro by default. We searched the wrong and got matched in the wrong area!
-Can it not do that? This is very Annoying!!!

#2) One person dropped in lobby and we all dropped

#3) Before #2 we were waiting 8 minutes to get a match.

UI is very Slow

UI End Screen doesnt really pop and no total stats comparing and is blaa…

Matches seem pretty balanced!

Game feels much more team stomp as I assume a lot of 4’s and 5’s groups are que’ing.

1 win and 1 loss over 1 hour time period.

Again getting kicked to lobby reset the Region and we played with 150+ Ping in Euroland and that was not fun.

-Ability to remove maps from map pool is pretty dumb for a pub… I personally think there should be a minimum or 3 or 4 maps that must be selected. This is especially important in Ranked!!! Teams just rolling one map to Elite running the same strat over and over is NOT COOL!

No match servers are available: 2 – oneofmatcheddidntaccept: 4 – player abandoned: 2 – eitsch: 4

In the end, fail won 8:4, hehe.

eitsch: 4 means i was able to play four games

//edith: the wait-times were acceptable. From 21 seconds to 2min30 … not too shabby!

Hi,

first of all I liked the info about how long the test will be online

with this also players which didn’t watched the info video before has the info. also those who are unable to calculate timezones :slight_smile: know when its “over”

the first join took some time (2:34) because someone did not accept… btw. how do we accept there is NO accept button we can press

the next one was better took “only” 1:10 to join

the matches itself was not very balanced for two reasons

  1. the teams itself feels verry unbalanced
  2. my team was both times doing everything but the obj. … so on bridge the EV was repaired in seconds and drived to the bridge without beeing damaged and also not stopped by a barrier because we didnt build it … :frowning: but the attacking team work good together and doing the obj…
