Apologies if I’m wrong but it seems that when you choose Recycle Duplicates (in Crafting) it will recycle both cards.
I would expect it to recycle only 1 of them 
not both
I just chose that option and I could swear it was what happened. I had a couple of Bronzes I don’t use (they weren’t “stared”) and after that I couldn’t find that Loadout.
