Reload Cancels Reload Redraws Weapon

This only occurs when Reload Cancels Reload is turned on. Generally, with Sprint Cancels Reload turned on your weapon won’t redraw and you’ll be able to shoot faster than with RCR turned on. Doesn’t seem like intended behaviour considering this was implemented to aid Double Time users in reload cancelling like they used to pre-fix.

aye, its sure annoying the two types of reload cancelling are different.

This is intended, at least until we can do further work to split up the reload animation into multiple stages* and do away with reload cancelling entirely.

The reason for it is that without the ‘raise’ it causes animation issues, so it’s required. The sprint-cancelling doesn’t need it as it blends into the sprint animation. It a case of having it like it is right now, or not having it at all.

*Having it so if you cancel early, you only replay the remaining steps you have yet to play, rather than the entire animation. Also skipping the ‘cocking’ animation at the end if a round is already in the chamber.
