To make ur demos into avi u firstly need to clear out ur screenshots folder in etmain.
Then load the demo up and type /cl_avidemo 15. You will see the game slows down alot, this is becuase hundreds of screenshots are being recorderd to ur hdd.

Once you have got all the screenshots you want to use download http://www.virtualdub.org/. Download virtual dub, install it then open it up and go file>openvideo file and click on the first screenshot in your sequence.

Now if you hit play you can see the sequence, you may want to delete sections at the start etc.

Now go to video>compression and select a codec. I use Divx. Then file save as avi and your done. You can now view your demo in Divx player.

If you are thinking of making a movie then make bits of demos into avi like this. But do not compress them until you are ready to export your finished movie, using vegas video or adobe premier.

But if its demos in avi do it like i said above

Hope this helps

You can also use Quake Video Maker (along with the TGA dump obtained with cl_avidemo)

http://www.swift-tools.net/Quake/QVM/

Its pretty good for free, and you can add music and effects.

or you just Record your demos with Fraps!
www.Fraps.com
Please Read the FAQ first before asking me some questions.
Version 2.0 is for Sale and Version 1.9D is for free.
I use Version 2.0.
you can overwork it with any Video Edit Program (like Windows movie Maker).
