Does anybody actually know how to play this game?

It’s getting really tiring wanting to jump into a game and ending up playing with people who do not possess anything even resembling intelligence. I am not knocking on the new players, I know it’s a steep learning curve. But here is just a sample of the things that level 10-15 players have done in the past little while that makes me want to leave this game…

  • Calling for a medic while a medpack lies at their feet.
  • 6 people repairing the EV…
  • Medics/Fields Ops not giving out supplies (I know cooldown and all but when you have to call a votekick for them to start handing it out, that’s a little ridiculous).
  • ALL of the medics changing to skyhammer.
  • While attacking, most of my team defending the side objective.
  • People not doing objectives and trying to kill everything…but not killing anything.

It’s sad that I’d rather play with somebody who is brand new to the game than somebody who has put in the time. I have never seen anything like this before. People weren’t even this bad in Brink!

No, not really, please tell me how do you think I should play this game and why do you think your way is the only correct way?

Like me Bacon comes from w:et. But I think he forgets that even that game had/has these same issues

Welcome to playing games with casual public players. It’s been 10 years in ET, people are still doing the exact same things you complain of. Settle in and get used to it.

pubs are pubs you’re free to do whatever you like and et still had bad pub players but they were having fun and so should you so just focus on yourself. if it still bothers you play mm with 5 people so you can play correctly

These things didn’t happen in ET though. People generally knew how to do objectives and where to go.

The same stuff happens in MM though…

MM is also pub.

A 5v5 queue button would make it less of a pub experience, but there isnt enough players in dirty bomb for it.

The minimum level 10 servers are also above average although people’s indifference to basic class balance still annoyed me, there.

Yes this happens in W:ET, happened in RTCW and ETQW…

Those games allowed you to quickly switch to the needed class to complete the objective or help your team, at any time.

As we all know,DB is limited in this regard, if you dont have a medic or engy equipped… It can make Pub play far more painful at times…

This happens in EVERY team based FPS I have played. Unless your team is focused on winning the game, and not just individual stats, you are going to have some disappointing rough games. How many rocket specialists were there in ETQW taking out deployables that were already 90% destroyed and non-functioning while you lemming-ed the objective by yourself?

there should be a built-in poll before every game start until level10 asking “what are you going to do in the upcoming game?”
-Make everyithing possible for your team to win: play objective, take medic when needed, cover teammates, give ammo, etc
-Be an idiot, not have any sense, or just fragging miles away from objective with similar idiot.

and if he chooses second option, the game wont start, and also it will quit to windows, and delete itself, and format c:, and also…well mb that would be enough…for now…
