Original maps with Costum PK3

Hi all!
I want a server with NQ.
The idea: Maps with costum weapons and player skin.
Example:
Siwa Oasis Europe ----------- US Soldier vs. Italien Soldiers +flags,real weapons,etc…
Stalingrad------------------------Germany vs Russian Army +all weapons etc…
It is possibly?

Dont think so as the latest pak will overide the others I think

Well, sure it works. You have two options:

#1 - create individual map pk3s with the skins. Essentially you repack the map and throw the skins inside.
Please don’t use this option, as it is rather pointless. Nevertheless you should know.

#2 - Throw all your skins in one custom pk3 and put it on the server.
Now depending on which skin (or even model) you want in what map, simply open up the mapscript and enter the respective commands found here.

remapshader "models/players/temperate/axis/engineer/body_engineer.jpg" "models/players/winter/axis/engineer/engineer_body"

Hehe I also wanted to refer to that, but then I left it out since he also wanted Russian and Italian skins. Nevertheless it is always deserves a publicity boost! One of the best skin mods there is imho.

We have your back! Although keep in mind, this is targeted to 2.80 and right now we are in the final stages of 2.73. There is at least one (2.75) public release planned before this feature is getting into an active state.

Example:
On oasis map:
(in a cfg):
set g_weaponScriptsDir “oasis_wp”
On Fuel Dump
set g_weaponScriptsDir “fuel_dump”

That on the other hand is to my knowledge not possible.
You can only change the weapon specs “globally” for the whole server and not map-specific.

thanks :slight_smile: , but how to add cfg with a map? or it is not possibly?
Example: oasis gravity 550 and panzerwar etc…

afaik, mapscripts are only available on EtPro

edit: might work on any LUA enabled mod

Thanks Nail, but i have yet a new big problem.
I want all different maps different g_weaponsScriptdir.
I dont understand how to make it :frowning: :frowning:

you can do that with mapscripts on etpro, don’t know about NQ

Other mods have adopted this later, back in 2009 I had a server with NQ running few of these, with custom spawns and exploit clips
