Matchmaker ignoring Region

Seems as the matchmaker is ignoring the region set by the user. Not good.
This is the Casual Match one, but I wouldn’t be surprised the Competitive was having the same issue.

Don’t think casual match quick join is actually doing any matchmaking*, and as such isn’t using the “matchmaking region”, but it would be a good idea to rename it to “region” and have it apply to both matchmaking and quick join.

  • Instead it’s finding what it deems an appropriate server from the same pool that the server browser uses.

The patch notes said it was now supposed to give lower ping preference over player count in Quick play.

I was connected to UK servers 75% of the time.

The upside is I don’t get put into a full server and get a error message. Getting in game has been nice and quick!
