How will group players work in ranked matchmaking?

A team that is premade has a significant advantage over randomly formed groups. How will this be balanced, if at all? Will there be a grouped ladder and a solo ladder? No grouping for competitive match making?

I am most concerned about competitive ladders. I’ve seen others express concern about this as well.

Presumably it will put you against a team of equal size and skill, then fill in any gaps with randomers.

I think at the very least the game should increase their MMR while grouped to match against slightly harder opponents.
