Got my Elite: Dangerous gamma access approved today - anyone given it / giving it a go? Played the original to death on the BBC :smiley: One of my workmates was at the premier and had a go on the Oculus, lucky git :).

I used to play that on my C64, iirc it had voice command for shooting

Yeah, probably going to give it a go.

Played the original on my 48k spectrum, and then caned it on the Atari ST, reaching the heady heights of Elite :smiley:

PC version was rubbish in comparison - oh and so was the C64 blockathon :stuck_out_tongue: (just to be controversial)

Tis fun so far (and just been to see Interstellar to keep in theme - also good:)). I spent many a up-til-4am session on the beeb grafting my way to Elite (8k kills iirc). Arcelite (on the Acorn Archimedes) was also great, but I agree the PC version (Elite 2) just wasn’t as good.
