Finally i have a version i can release - been working on and off on this map.
Its time to throw it out and see if it floats.
I hope it will run well - and that you will enjoy the map.
A thank you to Neil , Ailmanki , KeMon ,Sage ,Loffy, Niek , Dude , Mongo and Avoc for the help along the way.

Looking even better than the previous version! +1 Nice to see some suggestions being adapted.
I haven’t played through it, because I would like to do that with people again.

I don’t know if that is just me, but it seems that I have run into some issues. (I attached a screenshot for you.)

Really promising map! Looking forward to play it on a server. Do you have any knowledge of a server running it (already)?

Strange - image and shader are in the pk3 - and i tested it ok - can you download the latest again and check.
Dont know any servers yet - but bunker#1 and bunker#2 runs the b3 version.
And thank you KeMon for good feedback and solutions on the map.

Good news, it seems like it was caused by my ET. The windows work on my gaming installation.
However there are still some error messages, but I’d say you wait for other reviews, since they could be my fault aswell :tongue:

Hey should try your map but cant find it in etmain.
There is something wrong with arena file:


EDIT: You’re missing a " at the end of the long briefing line in arena.

Have fixed the arena file - the textures that are missing aint viewable.

How about FPS and entities? Won’t it kick players with MAX_GAMESTATE_CHARS (30 peeps)? Are FPS stable?

The fps aint bad - but ill guess the main area will give you a drop.
I have tested the map with up to 40 bots on - did not notice any problems.

Magic, there are some sound, texture and shader issues printed when you start the map with developer 1 & ETL:

If you run into fps/lag issues with real players think about to remove some of the target_speaker game entities - there are more than 200 ET_SPEAKER entities. This is a huge part of total 1024 game entities (fyi: raid_b4 starts with 608 game ents). ET_SPEAKER entities are linked and you can find this comment in the source code: ‘so the server can determine who to send updates to’. This might cause additional network traffic you can’t test with server bots.

Great to see quality maps still being made.

Minor point you likely know already;
you can see through the roof tops when using the tower mg nest (turn to the far right to see what I mean.)

I don’t remember anything else more serious than a small light leak.

Had a couple of max entities when waypointing for FritzBot ET at first (when I turned on mal_ShowSpawns; to mark all the spawn points), but nothing since and I must have run 60+ games with teams between 6 and 10 bots each.

A minor suggestion: Add a ladder texture on the downspout next to the city fence so attackers can climb up above the 2 balconies -2400, -700

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions.
I have started to work on a final release - but will wait to see how the beta4 will be in game.
Have removed about 170 target_speakers - they are now build into the bsp file -
so the sound picture is the same as it was.
d00d over at the omnibot forum are working on the botfiles -
will post a link when they are ready.

d00d did some commits recently regarding waypoints but they’re still WIP.
