custom shader effects

hello boys

well i am atm designing a room /im going to make a room with a furnace
during the second worldwar did they use coal in the furnaces that powered a big house…

however i want a pile of coal at the floor. and i want to make a custom shader for this…

so for beeing extra clear: snow have white spray
and dirt has brown
and sand has light-brown/yellow

I want black spray when i shoot at the coal!!!
is it possible?

Hardcoded shader behavior afaik, like the players breathing while playdead on surfaceparm snow :confused:

But who knows. While I asked something like that a long time ago it wasn’t possible :confused:

It might be possible if you use one of the default effects and then use remapshader to change the texture only for your map. You could also do it by changing the texture in the pak0 file structure (like you would for a skinpack), but then it will be different for all maps on the server your map is on. (I think)
