The Brink revival thread

I know this is not really the right place for this, but as a matter of fact not many peeps are checking out the Brink forums anymore. Yet I’m still posting some fanart there. So my question is; is it OK to have this little thread here in the XT forums, to keep the (interested)folks over here informed about newly arrived pages and sketches?

This sounds harsh, but I have to agree. I don’t read the Brink section because I’m not interested in anything Brink.

I actually thought about that, but there were too many reasons against such an endeavour.

#1 Not much story background as of yet
#2 I said that many times already; XT just didn’t got me “emotionally”, like Brink did
#3 I’ve already put so much time and effort in the planning, sketching, taking screenshots and whatnot, for the Brink novel.
#4 The Brink novel is something I want to pull through for myself, and I want to see that happen, switching the horses now is certainly the worst thing I could do for my ego
#5 Brink’s art-style fits almost exactly the kind of comic I allways wanted to make.
#6 I find the little story I wrote kinda cool and I like the characters in it*

*It’s nothing fancy, or over the top pretentious. It’s very true to the games tone and story. I’m only putting a little more personal spin to it. Not much more than what you’d find in one of the audio logs(even less). Most of the stuff is told visually anyways, so no one has to fear pages of text, in fact my biggest goal is to use as little text as possible(despite my wordy nature :wink:) and still make the story interesting and the characters appealing. After all it’s pretty short though. If it was a movie, we’d be talking about a 25minutes short-film I guess.
