we’ve never fully received an answer that i can remember, correct me if i’m wrong.
The reason i’m bringing it up (besides that it’s a relevant topic of discussion) is because i ran across this interesting game a few months ago called Strike Vector. They’re going to distribute their beta via steam. I personally dont understand why this wasnt done with Xt. They support indies more than any distributor that ive seen in recent memory. The community and reach is massive, an already integrated friends list and join system, simple updating (i know it has to be sent to the for approval and can bog that process down ect) and last but NOT least, the steam workshop for the modding community.
I really would love a full thought out reply to this, because i feel like a huge mistake was made in the decision of teaming up with nexon. Im not trying to knock them or their business model, but i feel like their history and audience speaks for itself.
