Indoors map inside a large greenhouse. So it looks and feels different from the other maps. Making use of tropical scenery, large palms, lilly pads etc.
Map Objective: Retrieve preserved uncontaminated plant seeds for growing food, from seed bank.

Visited here last year, every bit as gorgeous as it looks.
Particularly enjoyed Queen Charlotte’s Cottage.

Hopefully it’s an escort map that requires the ev to drive around in a circle multiple times to pick up pollen or flowers. Don’t forget it has to last 20 mins so the ev will do like 8 laps to give it more depth and feel.
reminds me of schönbrunn

I like the general Idea, some variety. things could have grown wild etc. to fit the setting ofc. somewhat like the part of camden for the first objective.
Yeah this would be awesome, airstrikes could break the glass roof like at the end of waterloo.

I’d be interested to know what your concept of proper map would be, I’m thinking you like outdoor maps
So call the map Kew Garden of Horrors?
Now add in some hanging barnacles from Halflife, and that could be a wicked map.

Don’t get me wrong. I like the idea of the map and I am a fan of lush jungles in an fps. I just also know SDs approach to forcing 20 min maps. My comment was entirely facetious.
As for maps that I like, mp_base, mp_ice, mp_sub (some bad areas some good.)
surprised me too
I understand sarcasm, and I don’t think SD is committed to 20 minute maps, in my mind, it’s just a starting place

It has been stated by Anti that their goal is a specific time spent per map in objective mode which I believe is 15-20 minutes. While, there has been an overwhelming support for shorter target objective times. I believe the majority would like to see 10-15 minutes, while the minority would like to see maps being completable in as little as 5-10 minutes. The shorter 5-10 minute completion times suiting the game more towards stopwatch and competition which, when you factor in the changing of sides, averages out to 15-20 minutes per map…go figure?
EDIT: Oh, and great map idea. I like the thinking outside of the box to bring a different set of environments. I think games like The Last of Us could be a huge inspiration to the idea of nature reclaiming urban environments due to some pandemic. The art design within that game is really phenomenal.
It adds a little variety & stopwatch gives you an additional goal in beating the other sides time. There is nothing more motivating then score attack, gaming 101 from the good old 8-bit days. In fact I would like to see how many total spawns each side used to complete each objective on the scoreboard in addition to time.

I thought the beginning part of beach was terrible but the second half was pretty damn awesome. The first half is just so bad I couldn’t enjoy it.
Back on topic, far cry also has some nice jungleness to it.
