Melee weapons and attacking units in cover

So I’ve made another observation about melee weapons.
There are some melee weapons that do full damage when the unit is in cover. And some that do half (or decreased) damage.
Is there a reason for this?

I’ve attached two screen shots.
1st - Juan with sledge hammer showing that he will hit Dave for 45pts of dmg (50% of weapon strength)
2nd - Gus with Persuader showing that he will hit Dave for 60pts of dmg (100% of weapon strength)

Never understood this all the meelee weapons that are sharp hit through cover and dull weapons like the bat and sledge get reduced. I consider the persuader to be sharp since it has nails sticking out of it

That’s kinda dumb considering how much a sledge hammer costs compared to the persuader…

It’s likely some kinda bug? Hopefully we’ll find out.

I would like to re-highlight this issue… Blunt weapon’s damage are still being reduced when attacking an opponent behind cover. Feedback plz!!!

I believe this has now been addressed on our end and should be part of the next update.
