When I connect to a server during warmup and pick spectate, my view is locked, looking out on all players standing in the spawn spot. I’m then unable to switch players or use freecam. Once everyone readies and standby is over, the view is still locked.
Workaround is to wait until the game has begun, join a game and then immediately go back to spectating.
I’d expect to be able to fly around during warmup. If not that, I’d at least prefer to be able to really spectate once the game has begun.
doesnt seem to be any control. i just press buttons until im in.
this started happening tonight while in spectaor mode although i was in a team waiting to come into game.
i suddenly move back oob out of body then when i entered i hear the death sound then my body appears to die and i spawn.
i hadnt activated the death cam either. thats my corpse.

Yep Ive mentioned this in the ‘pro tips’ thread. 
You have to join the actual match, and then join spectate to spec.
Use the mousewheel to view players in first person or use right mouse to enter free cam.

Still, I think warrants a bug report.
