Command Posts

(Auntsally) #1

Hi

I’ve spent ages looking for command post scripts so I can have 2 seperate CP’s for allies and axis, but I cant find one that works :banghead:

I’ve been through the tutorial in the forum and been on so many sites but i cant get it to work.

Can anyone out there post where i can get a “ready to paste”, or has anyone got a com post script that works because I think my head is going to explode

I think you should maybe have a look at this thread that explains how to create a command post this should help and i’m sure if you were to put “command+post+prefab” into the search section on this thread you will find a prefab.

Also this is a link to the bible for ET mappers and you should be reading this fully to help you on almost everything first.

You will see on the left hand menu there is a sample map section and there are 4 different command posts for you to look at.

Hope this helps you out.

i’ve tried the tutorial in the forum and i’ve looked at the other topics about the command posts but I keep getting the same problem. I get all the command posts at once, the built, damaged and closed all appear at the same time.

I’ve even tried loading that sample03a map and even with that I get the same problem.

I really dont know what to do. Any ideas?

Put the ‘.script’ file in the ‘MAPS’ folder and make sure you have 1 ‘script_multiplayer’ in the ‘.map’ before compile.
Make sure that the ‘script_multiplayer’ entity has the ‘scriptname’ properly set to ‘game_manager’.

Name the .bsp and the .script file the same thing = auntsally.bsp + auntsally.script
(make sure the files extensions are proper and that they do not end with ‘.txt’ .)

If this does not work for you or confuses you, I suggest re-starting back at the starting line.
