Make it F2p and unlockable skins ( with money or point in games ) so you can have the success of league of legends.

Since Bethesda own the Brink IP and DB belongs to SD, I very much doubt this has any tie in with Brink at all… even purely for legal reasons.
Also it is f2p.

The gamasutra article says that the pc game will be released this year…
One would assume this beta testing should happen pretty soon?
Its first title to come from WarChest, iOS strategy game Rad Soldiers, is free-to-play, while Splash Damage’s next two games – a PC title later this year and a console game next year – will also both be free-to-play (Wedgwood describes them as “Free-to-plAAA”).

That article is pretty old, Rad Soldiers isn’t even released yet in all regions and I think they said that was going to be done in Summer.
Launching a beta just before xmas is going to be kinda crazy, I’d hope for some media to chew over the holidays and then maybe something more juicy next year.
