4 Players to Start Specifically, Reducing on one NA server

First, Is the released game going to require 4 players to start because of stat capturing? If so, I think this is a bad idea as players don’t want to hang around to start servers. A better idea is to let players advance the map but not capture stats until a minimum number of players has been reached.

On a side note, currently North America has trouble getting full games going (from what I’ve seen). Sometimes we have trouble getting 2 players on. Could one server be set to start with 1 player so we can mess around with the map? This would help in testing. If you are concerned about other things such as capturing stats with a 4 player minimum, you could always set the server max players limit to 2 or 3 so that when 4 players are on we move to one of the other servers.

It would allow people on off hours to experiment with C4 placement, travel routes based on the current objectives (for both sides), et al without needing 4-8 players to start.

Hahah yeah well we’re definitely hoping for that! I still think there’s a pretty good benefit to being able to advance objectives in the game solo. Gives you time to explore options without being shot in the face every 2 seconds.

We’ve not settled on match start rules yet, what we have right now is placeholder.

On the subject of warmup can the respawn be instant during the warmup / initial countdown to the match? That makes it faster to get the classes right before Readying up.

Maybe make it dynamic to the number of players on a map? Like 25% or 30% of the entire server to ready up rather than a fixed number.

For the full game the game needs obviously more players before it can be counted towards their ingame development.
