I’ve got about a 10 fps increase. Seems to run ok now.
They also have the 11.8 preview drivers out.

Ok so I tried the 11.8 preview driver and it works a helluva lot better for me. Link: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=348465
My rig
Intel Core 2 Duo 3ghz
Radeon HD 5850 1 gig vid ram
4 gig ram
Win 7 64 bit
Yes i tried both 11.7 and 11.8 preview drivers.
11.7 seem pretty stable and average performance nothing noticeable for myself.
However 11.8 preview drivers are VERY nice gave me i’d say 15-20+fps boost in specific parts of map’s which i have tested previous drivers out at and now making Brink performance quite a bit more playable for myself.
~ Also using Radeon HD 5850
I thought the 11.8 were actually slower. I better give it another try since I also have a 5850.

i can confirm that the 11.8 in fact do a better job. i get a 5-10 frame increase in my minimum frame areas.
i also checked the driver archive and the atioglxx.dll is newer in 11.8.
That was for the 17.
The 11.8 preview driver were a bit better (5-10 fps increase, films lag less).
64 bit system; AMD 64 X2 6400+ @ 3200MHz; 3072MB DDR2-SDRAM; ATI Radeon HD6850 1GB
11.8 was weird for me. Generally It stayed at 60s but in action heavy places it dropped into the 30s where normally it was in the 50s. I found 11.7 to be overall better. When you do test it try it on sec tower or shipyard.
Based on some reports here I decided to try the 11.8 openGL drivers. I have the ATI 5770 and when I tried the newer 11-series drivers then I’d get horrible lag when scoping in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. So, I re-installed the 10.4 drivers and that problem went away, then I extracted the atioglxx.dll file from the 11.8 preview drivers and put it in the same folder as my Brink EXE. After I got the “Agents of Change” DLC I swear things are smoother than ever now. I always have the fps counter turned on and although in some places I’m only running about 35fps, I often run about 60fps on average now. I used to only run about 35fps on average.
