[drupal=846]Splash Damage to be at Develop 2011[/drupal]

The Develop Conference and Expo 2011 takes place in Brighton this week and we’ve got a few things planned for it.
Splash Damage will have its own booth at the Develop Expo, taking place tomorrow and Thursday, where you’ll be able to find out more about us and our now decade-long shenanigans in the games industry. Incidentally, we’ve still got a whole bunch of open positions we’re looking to fill, so if you’re in Brighton for Develop, come by booth C10 and see if there’s anything there for you.
On the Conference side of things, Lead Writer Ed Stern will be giving an hour-long talk called Turning Ink Into Brink, taking a detailed look at games writing as well as narrative design and direction. Using Brink as a case study, it covers the entire process from beginning to end, including the initial high concept, VO work and performance capture, and the various pre-rendered cinematics. It promises to be a fascinating (and knowing Ed, a uniquely presented) look at how games writing actually works in practice.
Finally, with two nominations at this year’s Develop Awards, look out for the Splash Damage table at Wednesday night’s awards show, and we’re also sponsoring the GamesIndustry.biz party afterwards. If you spot one of us at Develop or one of the surrounding events, don’t hesitate to stop us dead in our tracks and say hello.
Develop 2011 takes place from 19 - 21 July 2011 at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton, England. For full details, tune your internet device to the official Develop website. We hope to see you there!

I just got back from Develop 2011… It was great to chat with so many fans and students that want to get in to gaming. Our team is still there for the afternoon, so do stop by if you can. You can’t miss our booth - it’s the bright orange one at the back! (Photos to come…)
