Optimizing the PC version

On the PC version, I have the recommended video card and the minimum processor, as well as 3 gigs of ram. I was just wondering if you guys were going to optimize it some more, because the game is still extremely chopping on everything on low settings. Do you guys have any suggestions on how I could remove the chop? Thanks!

im not sure what sd will do to help but a few thing you can do are.

  1. lower the res, only one setting down can help alot,
    2)play in windowed mode, still covering the full screen but windowed,
  2. turn of any AA as thats a b1tch.
  3. check cpu usage during play and if its struggling try an oc?

i’m afraid that’s all i can offer obvious though it was.

I tried the res, didn’t work, AA was off, and I’ll try windowed mode in the morning, thanks. Other than that, I am hopefully going to get a job soon so I can start working on my new PC.

His CPU is the problem, everything you said relates to GPU. And unless he can overclock to almost 4 GHz, he won’t feel much of a difference.

well i used to have a 3gig duo core that i oc’ed to 4.3 gig on air cooling so OC might be the answer save my a** countless times lol
