Jaymod 2.1.9 released

(jaybird) #1

I’ve released Jaymod 2.1.9 into the wild. It’s a release candidate for the stable 2.2.x branch. Check out the website for details and download.

It is awesome! I am so glad you are back on the track, and can’t wait for 2.2.x and 2.3.x

WideScreen feature looks cool on my 1080P Screen, the only part that is Stretched is the Limbo Menu, would be better if the Limbo was Smaller and Didnt Fill up the Whole Screen.

I limited the changes to the HUD, because if I were to render UI elements at the correct aspect ratio, it would not fill the entire screen, much like a standard definition signal on a widescreen tv. It would be nice to make them look correct, but it really would involve redoing these screens to make them work for different aspect ratios.

I dont think anyone uses a 4:3 Inch Monitor anymore, A 16:9 Ratio would be the best Standard

Maybe not 4:3, but I bet a lot of folks are still on 5:4 monitors. And there is probably a good chunk of folks using 16:10 monitors too.

The Server uses a database System, e.g.e “users.db and levels.db”

Could you meet on the Server ??

I have being Experimenting with the UI Source, notice the Entire UI of Wolfenstien is Optimised For 640x480, Higher then That Everything is Stretched and Ugly. He is some Modifications i did which uses 1280x800

Like Windows at Higher Resolutions it makes everything Smaller as you said
