tried working with fog before but i didnt make it working… so a step by step explanation would be great:D

no…sorry still dont get it… tried making a fog texture called fog_grey1 putted in sfx
made a brush with one side fog and the rest nodraw…
devmap the map
and…nothing:(

well, i got fog in my map… not the way i wanted…but there is fog there…all over the map…why should it be so hard making an fog brush that is visible??

Fog brushes have to have fog on all its sides but only one side exposed to the player to work. In this instance this type of fog wouldn’t work well I don’t think for what you want. It’s mainly used for ‘bottomless pit’ fog and such.
Atmospheric fog is the best you are going to get sadly I think.

yes, i think you’re prob right…just another limitation of et sadly but true
