Hi,

I made this application when M1R53 mentioned he needed something to run ET with 1 core. This was created in like 3mins, and compiled.

Make sure that this file resides inside your Enemy Territory directory

Default: C:/Program Files/Enemy Territory

Updates (28th Jan 2011)

  • ET Affinity now supports other applications(v1.4).
  • ET Affinity now makes Enemy Territory an important process.
  • ET Affinity now forces ET to start quicker.
  • ET Affinity now supports up to 32 core processors.
  • ET Affinity now features a new icon.
  • ET Affinity now starts up quicker.
  • ET Affinity had a problem with 31 cores, now fixed.(v1.4).
  • Optimised code a bit more.
  • Fixed form resize problem.
  • App now has an icon.

-what about loading mods support
-can you make it check pnkbstera.exe and pnkbusterb.exe additionaly (as i find that helping for those every few seconds little lagspikes)

error report: win7 32 >> http://pastebin.com/q8NJ8e9B

I will add what you said in the next version.

This problem may be a registry permissions issue. Was the .exe inside of your ET directory? Did the application load/start up?

($omator) #4

was on desktop, when moved into game dir worked fine

(Indloon) #5

Picture of upcoming new version.

What will be:
-Supports most popular mods.
-Error handling
-SLAC support
-ET select

(Shownie) #6

Bcuz its not working here
My error is: 0xc0000135

(Nail) #8

try update .NET

(Indloon) #9

Yes,it does work on WindowsXP 64-bit.
Just do what Nail said, try to update Microsoft .NET
After it,just reinstall ET Affinity.

(Indloon) #10

So people who had a problem, update your Norton and enjoy it :).

I’ll release next version in a few days. Mod support and increase in FPS on computers with ATI, NVIDIA, AMD, INTEL processors + graphics.

Boost with FPS on Goldrush from 90 to 120…

(kreatiir) #11

do you have a link to this version?

(FFSturm) #12

If someone is going to do this for Doom III, it will rock.

(Gir) #13

All you do is Set Affinity in Task Manager

(Mateos) #14

Bill’s Process Manager supports profiles per EXE for affinity etc ,to launch automatically what you want on the cores you want.

With ET/Doom 3, no prob with a Core 2 Duo here…

oh, i thought it was more like SMP (Symmetric multiprocessing). my bad

(Mateos) #16

I don’t know if Doom 3 is made to use a single core, have never looked for the CPUs activity in Task Manager while running it, if it is what you mean?

(FFSturm) #17

yeah, Doom 3 only uses a single core, so dual core computers are not required (until they release the full renderer code ofc). It’s more GPU demandant.

Wow, didn’t know this was on here, thanks Indloon :P.

I’m DanLovesJosh btw :P,

Sweet! Funny you are here as registered member and didn’t know about your own application.

How about a mac version?

;), I didn’t start out very well on this forum, I was silly back then my old thread had Replies: 61 & Views: 11,481

This was written in .NET so Windows framework only :(. It should be possible with any other language though, not that difficult. I’ll release code when I can find it.
