MD3 looks inverted in wolfsp.exe

(sd2009) #1

Hi,

I created many models with GMAX for rtcw. They all worked and looked fine. But today I created a md3 model and it looks as if it is textured from below not from the top. Any ideas what the problem is? The model looks correctly textured inside GMAX. In gtkradiant 1.4.0 it looks very strange. I repeated the same procedure several times but the result is the same. I am using the unwrap uvw method.

Thanks.

Your normals are inverted,flip them.

IIRC in blender that easily happens if you accidentally scale the model -1. But flipping the normals should work as said. If not then it might be possible you have some problems with the origin(s)/size of the model/exporting/etc…

Yeah I actually got the same thing with cinema4D,scale -1 and flip, dunno if it’s common to other applications too… :frowning:

Yes, I found the button flip and I did it already. Thanks for your help.
