    Hint: use DLights only in special places - they cost FPS if used too much. And they only light vertices. In my tavern it creates a flickering effect for the lantern which looks nicer there.

    Bigger hint: Do not use Dlights - they bring more trouble than worth imo.

    Thx for the feedback.

    @ Mateos - i had a lot of help from my friend mrfin - that gave it a great finish -
    i started with the tracemap and deleted all exept the buildings - made a backgroundlayer and varied with lots of hight curves layers with small difference in color.
    Then i used a paper texture that i adjusted the transparency - gave it a nice look - mrfin did the rest.
    If youre intrested - i can send you the psp file - to see how its build up.

    @ kemon - lot of the textures i have adjusted from images i found on the net - especially doors,windows and roof textures.
    some i got from CG textures
    have also purchased textures - Texture Portal
    over the last 6 years i have downloaded tons of textures - my disc is full

    I had a goal to make a beta before the end of the year - but i think it will take some longer time before a release.
    Avoc made me a great looking skybox - working right now on the shader for it.

    When I saw the tile in Windows Live Mail I knew I already saw it, and that's why I have the music on my mobile phone But thanks, I will try again, I think the exterior stuff is finished now. If you could upload the file, thanks! And if you need a texture, I'm converting my photos to seamless textures, so I can give 2048x2048 stuff

    I making 2 radarmaps in campain with würsburg

    the first is called african radars:

    story = under command of Erwin Rommel have the axis set up an high quality radar to protect the desert north from a small base. the radar will check the desert for enemies and strike them with artellery in precision. the allied force has dropped into the city and must steal the radars computer.

    the second called: battery of Norway

    story = the axis forces has succed their experiments in Würsburg and use the same radar for full effect near a battery. the allies must destroy it before they attack with their ships for an offensive against an axis base near Oslo.

    Yeah, glad to see that some people are still mapping for ET. I am working on something quite similar to goldrush. Some steal the tank stuff and blow up some doors, coupled with some func_button and camera stuff to create short cuts in the gameplay (if teamplay is good enough to reach the button).

    map compiles well, tracemap is in place. am currently working on the lightening but usually most pros play with high brightness and don't give a sh.. about the art of lightning. we mapper of course want to make everything look beautiful but at the end of the day, the decision about whether a map is liked or not is the gameplay, not so much the beautiful landscape.

    Started on a new map called treasure of the caribien, will be a race for objective.
    Both teams need to drive a boat over to an island and there get into a cave and find the treasure and return to spawn with it...
    just started.
    Terrain are done, water,skybox and started on the axis spawn
    I'm an engineer, lets just asume I'm right...

    Hi

    Im making a map called "Die Bombe" (german for "the bomb")

    The allies attacking a german village in Schwarzwald where the germans hiding the very secret documents and blueprints they need for building an atomic bomb. its only a few weeks til they will give up but they can still send the blueprints to Japan.

    The allies must escort a tank to the house where the plans are located, blow a hole in the wall, put the plans in the tank and get away
    The axis must build tank barriers and defend the plans

    There will be a new map Directly connected to teuthonia very soon (so it's the next Map of the plannend teuthonia Trilogie). The Map is called siwa_teuthonia and the Story is Directly connected to teuthonia so the new map should Play Directly before teuthonia. The new Map does Not only extend the teuthonia Story, also some landscape is from teuthonia and some Doors/Gates That Are closed in teuthonia are now Open. So lots of new Stuff with a Little Old Stuff. Story is the following : on their Way to teuthonia (Where Gold is Hidden in a bank), the Allies crashed in a nearby Oasis (siwa_teuthonia). Allies Must now make their Way into teuthonia (so the New Map is Going to be Map 1, the already released Map teuthonia is map2). Very unique objectives in this new map that haven't been in any map i am Aware of. Inofficial Map Release for Testing plannend end February, Official Release plannend for end of March.

    @mcbeth, you stil have this mine problem with the old map? You never responded to me saying whether another mod has the same issue? I expect no issues and the map is independent of the mod

    we only have with NQ but works fine with Silent so I have no clue why we have the mines yellow and black for playing nq
    I deleted skins pack , menu to see but still the same
