Haven’t played W:ET for weeks now.
And can’t play the ET:QW beta (low spec PC and GNU/Linux).
I thought that there is a thread related to ET:QW mod ideas.
But I’ve found several threads.
So here two mod ideas for ET:QW that combines WW II era with the futuristic Strogg.
“FAOS - First Attack Of Strogg” and “SEAL - Strogg Evil Axis Link”.
Not thought to the end and only “thought loud”.

[/li]The attacks of Strogg in the year 2065 the time ET:QW takes place aren’t the first attacks.
They have been here on earth before.
But couldn’t manage to beat menkind.
But they managed to get some corpses to build the later Strogg menmachines on.
Korea, Vietnam for example.
In this fictional scenario these weren’t wars between west and east.
Those were wars between menkind and Strogg (in some not menkind similar lifeform).
All the patrols during the cold war crises were done to prevent Strogg to attack again.
But propaganda managed to tell the civilians that there is a cold and sometimes hot war going on between East and West.

[/li]Some Axis leader managed to escape to Neuschwabenland at the end of the war.
Neuschwabenlad is a territory in the antarctica? that was “in Besitz nehmen” by the axis before the war.
And named by the ship “Neuschwaben” that reached that area.
There the axis are building new technologies like flying saucers or “menmachines”.
May be have managed to get to outer space/other planets.
