QW beta for other platforms?

Are there any plans to make the ET: QW beta available to osX and/or Linux users?

Yes, both Mac and Linux ports have been mentioned. TTimo indicated that a simultaneous release of the linux client was unlikely.

Thanks for the info. I have read that osX and Linux releases would closely follow the Win versions so was hoping we Mac users could get in on the beta soon without going the bootcamp/win install route.

no beta outside windows afaik, maybe demo

iirc, there may be a way for linux users to run existing beta

Ah, I actually missed the beta part of your post :oops:. There hasn’t been any word on a non-windows beta. ISTR the devs saying the fileplanet beta would be windows only.

Some people have reported success running the windows beta under wine: See http://community.enemyterritory.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3134

the full ver and demo will have everything but the beta… only for windows and this one guide for linux.

I think I’ll just wait and pony up the $$$ for the final osX release (whenever that is :? )
