Just a short story from mapping Warbell to all who like nifty lighting effects and think of using a dlight for that.
I couldn’t explain myself why with about 90 leafs and 10.000 tris to draw my frames went suck to about 115, and was suspecting small brushwork and collision data calculation.
I was wrong: the dlights had to be blamed. In those leafs I had 7 dlights with 5 different custom stylestrings which gave a very nice effect. After I took them all out, framerates jumped up to 190/200 in the same spot.
Hence the warning: be REAL careful when tinkering with dlights.
