You might say its OT, but James Doohan was lieutenant in artillery at D-Day (Field Ops!):

So I suggest all Fields spam “Fire in the hole!” and kill some snipers in commemoration.

Someone told me last nite, that no one actually said beam me up scotty, they said something different each time like “get us out of here scotty” and so on… if some one who isnt me has the patience to look it up?

The line “Scotty, Beam me up” (from ST IV) is the closest they ever got on the series or movies.

Yeah. I only just found this out, Scotty was a fav from Star Trek.
