moo for bren
Cool website, but a high-res trailer would be even more jared / awesome.

Nice website (although it uses Flash, but I guess this was the easiest way).

But the registration for the FPS newsletter is ridiculous: Only USA and Canada are supported. And what for do you need my address, my birthdate or my phone number?
And then those nice error messages like

The characters ,",;,: and , are not allowed in the field, {0}.

You can do better sd (you should at least poke Activision to change it).

I almost made a post about this…good-thing I looked at the list.

The site is a start…I guess, I am still drooling over the trailer. :slurp:

(Floris) #6

I think the sounds of the trailer is boring … :stuck_out_tongue:
But the movie itself is great

There is 12 months in 2006 so a year and a half wait then.

(squadjot) #8

Ragnar> whats wrong wit flash?

yeah the registration form… why is it that only US residents are supported… there ARE people ouside US playing those games …
…u’ll see when the european ET players come to own the US peeps at quakecon

oh my…i would love to do the QW:ET site

Flash requieres a plug-in and I usually have it disabled. Additionally flash breakes the browser navigation, e.g. “back” and “forward” buttons or bookmarks (you can’t bookmark deep links).

(DarkangelUK) #10

You can’t rip the .mov vid file from flash either

(Joe999) #11

congrats for the new webpage!

one thing i wanna comment: could you please provide a real trailer format? this small flashthingy doesn’t kick-ass as a real trailer format could do. best would be a HDTV format, the game deserves it

(squadjot) #12

You can’t rip the .mov vid file from flash either

yes u can ^^

(Joe999) #13

did anyone take the sound of the tiny little flash video (from which you can hardly see the fain-grained details of the game) and sync it with the larger e3 video? i tried, but get out of sync :frowning:

if anyone has a larger version, please post it. thx, would be awesome!

!!!
Seems to be a larger version

(squadjot) #15

where? the link they give does not give me QW:ET trailer …

(Salteh) #16

Their “story” links to 3 games’ trailer,so when you randomly click a link and find out it isn’t the ET trailer, it may be worth actually reading the text instead of running back to the SD forums and saying it doesn’t work :frowning:

One of their links : http://www.gamershell.com/news/22847.html

Edit:

I have just been informed that I “don’t need to be so mean”

(DarkangelUK) #17

Full large version with normal sound available here 56.81 MB (free registration required but there’s a 500kbs speed limit… enough for me)

This is the actual trailer, it’s not the crappy E3 handy cam one.

(Salteh) #18

Bluesnews links to the actual trailer, you silly
Some of the links don’t require registration

(squadjot) #19

oh yeah in the top… i totally overlooked that…i only looked at the comments…

oh salteh dont be so mean to me =’( it makes me so sad…
