So, i bought a laptop it has windows on it and it sucks. So i installed ubuntu 11.04 It’s awesome btw.

But i got one problem, how the hell can i get ET and gtk radiant 1.5 to work?

And gtkradiant website is gone, the qeradiant.com

Hi sQynor,

There’s a Linux ET version, and even an OS:

For Gtk I dunno, I guess there’s a Linux version?

Wasn’t really hard to google it…

not sure about that file, contains way more crap than needed

W:ET Linux 2.60 install
http://ftp.freenet.de/pub/4players/hosted/et/official/et-linux-2.60.x86.run

Linux 2.60 SDK
http://ftp.freenet.de/pub/4players/hosted/et/official/et-linux-2.60-sdk.x86.run

GTKRadiant 1.4 Linux
ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/qeradiant/GtkRadiant/GtkRadiant-1_4/Linux/linux-radiant-1.4.0.run

Well, the radiant 1.4 isn’t working. For some reason i cannot install it. I get this:

It’s a screenshot.

PS: I tried googling GTkradiant for linux, but ended up with the wrong radiant, which is made for different games. But Thanks anyway (:

Guessing from the image, it doesnt support Ubuntu… maybe it wasnt there yet in the 1.4 time ;p

NetRadiant? Any Linux files here?

You had to download and add ET mapping package then.

Here’s how to install NetRadiant (needs adding ET pack too):

(sQynor) #8

Thanks Rebel, the only problem now is that all the Netradiants are build for 32bit system.
In windows it’s easy to run 32bit program in a 64bit environment.

Linux is abit different, it’s harder to run 32bit programs in 64bit environment. I’m still trying to get it to work. So wish me luck. else there’s nothing else to do than to switch to 32bit and lose 1 gig ram.

Here you can find Ubuntu 64bit NetRadiant version:
